As Amazon breaks it down, that means you get the Echo Dot for 99 cents and Amazon Music Unlimited for $8.99. (Subscription will automatically renew, so be sure to cancel after the first month if you no longer want it.)

This is a great opportunity to try out Amazon Music while hooking up Amazon’s most popular smart home device essentially for free. The Echo Dot is the entry point to a smart home or even a smart ecosystem. The device unlocks the power of Alexa, Amazon’s virtual assistant, and can set alarms, play music, deliver the morning weather forecast, adjust thermostats and more. The two would normally be priced at $48.98, so that’s a pretty drastic reduction if you’ve been thinking about picking one up.
