Soccer League LaLiga And Dapper Labs Unveil Date Of New NFT Platform

Dapper Labs and Spanish soccer league LaLiga have announced that their new NFT platform will launch on October 27, 2022.

According to a press release, LaLiga and Dapper Labs have now revealed the name of their upcoming digital collecting platform, “LaLiga Golazos”.

LaLiga is the highest football division in Spain, with legendary teams such as Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. The league is currently ranked second in Europe according to the UEFA rankings.

LaLiga Golazos NFTs will feature collectible videos (called “Moments”) of the most famous plays of football clubs that have been part of the league since the 2005-2006 season.

The platform will also feature new Moment drops from each matchday of the current 2022-23 season. Fans will be able to experience all of these collectibles in both English and Spanish, according to the announcement.

“LaLiga Golazos allows fans to own and collect LaLiga plays and moments from 2005 to the present day,” commented Óscar Mayo, LaLiga Chief Executive Officer.

“We are constantly innovating new ways to bring LaLiga, its clubs and players closer to our fans and with our partner, industry leader Dapper Labs, we can give them the ability to truly be part of this fan experience.”

Dapper Labs, the company behind other famous sports collections like NBA Top Shot, is responsible for the development of the LaLiga Golazos platform.

The closed beta version of the NFT platform will be launched on the 27th of this month, and the first collection will also be released on the same day.

Plays from the most iconic rivalries in football history such as El Clásico and the Madrid Derby will be featured in the initial NFTs.
