COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Aegir Insights, an offshore wind and power-to-x investment intelligence technology start-up, has secured a strategic investment from renowned energy industry leader Jon Erik Reinhardsen along with two other investors. The board’s investment and support will accelerate Aegir Insights on its growth path as a premium software and intelligence provider for project developers, governments and industry investors. In addition to this strategic investment, management and technology consultancy BearingPoint has been appointed as an advisor to Aegir Insights, providing support on the way to future rounds of funding and business growth.

Jon Erik Reinhardsen is a Norwegian business executive who currently holds positions such as Chairman of the Board of Equinor ASA, Board Member of Telenor ASA and other senior appointments. Reinhardsen was the CEO of Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) from 2008 to 2017, providing reservoir and geophysical services and data. In the period 2005 – 2008 Reinhardsen was President Growth, Primary Products of the international aluminum company Alcoa Inc. based in the US, and was in New York during this period.
