Solana NFT sales volume exceeds $100 million in September

NFT sales volume on the Solana blockchain hit $130.1 million in September, marking an 82.2% increase from the $71.4 million posted in august

While the figure still puts Solana far behind Ethereum, which hosted $354.3 million worth of NFT sales last month, the difference between the number of unique buyers for the two is very minor

According to CryptoSlam data, Solana NFTs saw 143,997 unique buyers in September (compared to Ethereum’s 166,168 that month (compared to 202,467).

While the numbers may indicate that Solana is creating a remarkable ground on Ethereum, the latter is still home to the majority of blue-chip NFT projects.

Looking at data from the last 30 days, only one Solana NFT project is in the top 10 in terms of sales volume, with y00ts mint t00b’s $13.3 million sales volume in 10th place. In comparison, eight Ethereum-based projects are in the top 10 during this time period.
