Hilary Swank will be a mother of two children!
The “Million Dollar Baby” actor, 48, announced Wednesday that she and husband Philip Schneider are expecting twins.
“I’m so happy to share this with you and America right now, this is something I’ve wanted for a long time, and my next thing is I’m going to be a mother,” the Oscar winner announced. on “Good Morning America.” “I’m going to be a mother, and not just one, but two. I can’t believe it.”
Swank, who is in her second trimester, said in another interview that she “feels great right now” and that the twins are running in her husband’s family.
“It’s a total miracle. It’s unbelievable,” she said of being pregnant with two babies.
Swank and Schneider, a businessman, have been married for four years. They married in a redwood grove in Carmel, California in 2018, two years after meeting on a blind date in 2016.
“It was a blind date set up by actor Misha Collins’ wife, Vicki, and another close friend, Jean. We met at 10 in the morning and broke up at 11 p.m.,” Swank said of the their first date, a bottomless brunch. “We clearly enjoyed our time!”
Swank was previously married to actor Chad Lowe from 1997 to 2007.
Swank stars in the new TV drama “Alaska Daily,” which premieres Thursday on ABC. In it, she portrays an investigative reporter looking for a fresh start in Anchorage. Swank has won two Oscars for leading actress, for “Boys Don’t Cry” in 1999 and “Million Dollar Baby” in 2004.
