A beautiful tabby mix puppy in New Jersey is looking for a forever home.
Carmine, who is estimated to be about two years old, is currently up for adoption at Sammy’s Hope Animal Welfare and Adoption Center located in Sayreville, NJ in Middlesex County.
While Carmine’s origins are unknown, it’s clear he lived in a home previously, as he appears to be house-trained and walks “very well” on a leash, according to the shelter.

Staff at Sammy’s Hope told Fox News Digital they are glad he found his way to the safety of their shelter.
At two years old, Carmine has an “old school” charm, the staff reported, and prefers to spend some time warming up to new people.
Carmine likes to hang out with his friends, cuddle on laps, eat well and take long walks on the beach, the staff also said.

“He’s willing to try almost anything as long as it’s with friends,” reported Sammy’s Hope staff.

The staff also said that Carmine “takes treats lightly.”
The young pup is eager to find a home to call his own, as well as caring, patient and loving owners, the shelter noted.

Sammy’s Hope added that Carmine just “knows there’s the right family” for him.
