Aaron Judge finally tied Roger Maris’ home run mark on Wednesday night and somehow managed to get the ball back to his mom, Patty.
Patty has been with Roger Maris Jr. throughout the home run chase waiting for his son to finally hit the home run that tied the mark. Judge did it in the middle of a 3-3 game and put the New York Yankees over the Toronto Blue Jays. New York would go on to win the game 8-3.

According to MLB.com, Yankees reliever Zack Britton negotiated a trade for baseball. It was initially retrieved by Blue Jays pitching coach Matt Buschmann and given to reliever Jordan Romano.
“He’s been with me through it all,” Judge said. “From the Little League days, getting ready for school, taking me to my first practices and games, being there for my first pro game, my debut and now having the opportunity to be here for this, this is something special. , and we’re not done yet.”

Maris Jr. and Patty Judge embraced after the home run and met the outfielder after the game ended.

“To sit in the 60s there with ‘The Babe’ was nice. To have the opportunity now to sit in the 61s with another Yankee right fielder who hit 61 homers, [won] MVP, world champions, it’s great,” he said.
Judge is the sixth player to hit at least 60 home runs in a season and now has the American League Triple Crown in his sights. Leads the American League in RBI (130) and batting average (.313).
Judge could surpass Maris in the next few games and could even surpass Sammy Sosa’s 63 home run mark set in 1999 and his 64 home run mark in 2001.
