Chart Sync is an indicator designed for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 trading terminals. Chart sync allows the trader to perform better technical analysis of various time periods, synchronizing symbols and objects on virtually unlimited charts.
The indicator has several advanced settings that allow the trader to only sync certain objects in certain time periods, providing a very clear and professional approach. For example, the trader may choose to sync the M1 trendlines only to the M5 and M15 charts, but not to any chart above M15, knowing that the M1 trendline will not provide any valuable information about, say, H1 , except to mess up the graph.

By default, the following sync settings are enabled. You will be able to adjust these parameters to better suit your technical analysis style.
- Objects M1 it will synchronize with time slots M5 and M15
- Objects M5 it will sync with time slots M1, M15 and M30
- M15 objects it will sync with time slots M1, M5, M30 and H1
- Objects M30 it will sync with time slots M1, M5, M15, H1 and H4
- Objects H1 will sync with time slots M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4 and D1
- Objects H4 will sync with time slots M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, D1 and W1
- Objects D1 will sync with time slots M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, W1 and MN
- Objects W1 will sync with time slots M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, MN
- MN objects will sync with time slots M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, W1
Chart Sync covers the following chart objects:
- vertical lines
- horizontal lines
- trend lines
- rectangles
- triangles
- ellipses
- trend by angles
- cycle lines
- arrow lines
- equidistant channels
- standard deviation channels
- linear regression channels
- andrew’s gallows
- Fibonacci (retracement, time zones, fans, arcs, channels and expansions)
1. Section 1 – Setting the time period synchronization
These parameters define time period-specific synchronization rules for all object types. For example:
- Synchronize objects H1 to M5 i Synchronize objects H1 through H4 means that all objects originally drawn on an H1 chart will be synchronized and displayed at all time intervals greater than or equal to M5 and less than or equal to H4.
The time period sync setting allows for clean charts, showing only the relevant objects in the time period. A trendline drawn on an M5 time frame usually does not add relevant information on a daily chart
Note: Time frame sync settings include M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, W1 and MN
2. Section 2 – Configuration by type of object
For each type of synchronized object, specific settings can be applied:
- Force sync across all time periods – if set to “true”, this specific object type will be synchronized in all time periods, without overriding the general time period synchronization settings. For example, if you want a rectangle to be synchronized and displayed in all time periods, you should set this parameter to “true”
- Sync on – this setting allows you to enable/disable synchronization for each specific object type. By default, all supported object types are synchronized, but with this option you can disable synchronization for any subset of them. In case you don’t want the Fibonacci channels to be synchronized, set this value to “false”.
Note: Settings by object type include vertical lines, horizontal lines, trend lines, rectangles, triangles, ellipses, angle trend, cycle lines, arrow lines, equidistant channels, standard deviation channels, linear regression, Andrew’s Fibonacci fork, Fibonacci retracement, time zones, Fibonacci fans, Fibonacci arcs, Fibonacci channels i Fibonacci expansions
3. Section 3 – Configuration of the user interface
You can configure where and how the indicator logo is displayed to comply with your custom chart template. If set to Compact mode, a smaller version of the logo will be displayed.
