Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore is optimistic about Democrats’ chances of keeping control of Congress against “treacherous” Republicans ahead of the November legislatures.

“I’ve never felt so optimistic,” Moore told “Real Time” host Bill Maher on Friday night.

Moore, who faced heavy backlash for predicting President Trump’s famous election victory in 2016, says he now thinks “the opposite will happen” on Election Day.

“I think there will be an outcry against the traitors, especially against the 147 Republicans who, within hours of the uprising, voted not to certify the President-elect of the United States, Joe Biden, and I think there will be so many people coming out to vote,” Moore said.

The Oscar-winning documentarian cited the Kansas vote that preserved abortion rights as a sign of Democratic optimism and that a “massive turnout of women” will affect the results of the semi-conference. He also cited Sarah Palin’s defeat in the Alaska special election, which went to newly sworn-in Democratic Rep. Mary Peltola.

“There are so many signs of that that I think, I honestly think that if we all do our jobs and we all get people out there and get out there ourselves … I think we can throw out a lot of these Republican traitors. in November ” Moore said.

Moore also predicted that Democrats will pick up “two to five” seats in the Senate in November and retain control of the House of Representatives, insisting that the pundits are “all wrong.”

“So women and young people and people of color are going to save the day and we’re going to be very happy the day after the election,” Moore told the “Real Time” audience. “I think there is a revolution, a non-violent revolution, in favor of democracy. People don’t want to lose it. Look how close we are to losing it. And we can’t lose it.”

“Oh, all of a sudden you have nothing to say,” Maher joked.

“I feel for him,” Moore replied. “I don’t want to mislead him because he’s old, but he told us when he was running that he might only be a one-term president.”

“But hasn’t he done a little good in the last six months?” Maher asked.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” Moore replied. “I want him healthy, I want him to continue. And that’s how I feel.”

Maher later followed: “But why be old? Should we judge him by the work he’s doing?” Moore responded by stressing that Democrats need to come up with a “Plan B” and a “Plan C,” since Biden has hinted he won’t seek re-election.
