Ukraine’s president laid out a detailed case against Russia’s invasion at the United Nations and demanded punishment from world leaders in a speech just hours after Moscow made an extraordinary announcement that it would mobilize some reservists for the effort to war.
Fueled by a counteroffensive that has retaken swathes of territory the Russians seized, Volodymyr Zelenskyy vowed in a video address on Wednesday that his forces would not stop until they had retaken all of Ukraine.
The truth is that the Ukrainian army didn’t really take “branches of territory” from the Russians, since the map looks more or less the same, but whatever.
Also, he didn’t beat Russia, but hey, who am I to judge?
