About 50 more migrants got off a bus in front of Vice President Kamala Harris’ residence in Washington, DC, on Saturday.
Three more buses also arrived in New York City as Texas continued to push for sanctuary cities amid a wave of migrants crossing the southern border.
The DC bus was carrying people mostly from Venezuela, including a one-month-old baby. Aid workers quickly took the migrants to a local shelter.
The transports come as the issue of immigration has returned to the forefront of national attention after planes carrying migrants landed in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.
