New “Jeopardy!” Host Ken Jennings was accused by fans on Twitter this week of unfairly judging two contestants’ answers during Wednesday’s show.

“Wow is @jeopardy fixed? Why is Luigi allowed to correct himself but not Harriet?” one viewer wrote on Twitter.

On the show, current champion Luigi de Guzman first gave the answer “Constant” when shown a painting by John Constable.

“Say that again?” Jennings, who is only in his first official week as host, asked de Guzman.

“I’m sorry, who is the constable?” he replied, to which Jennings agreed.

The category was “Cons”, which meant that all answers would start with “Cons”.

However, later in the show, when contestant Harriet Wagner responded that the fantasy author of “Always Coming Home” was “Angela LeGuin” before attempting to correct her response to Ursula LeGuin, Jennings interrupted her.

“No,” he said, before allowing de Guzmán to give the correct answer.

“Yes, Harriet, you remembered that her name was Ursula, but I had already started speaking against you when you started correcting yourself,” Jennings explained.

Many fans on Twitter disagreed with his reasoning.

“Not a fan of the sentence against Harriet tonight and a free ride for Guzman…Ken Jennings is biased and not a good moderator. I won’t watch it anymore,” one Twitter user wrote.

Another said: “#Jeopardy I’m not happy how #KenJennings is letting some people correct themselves and not others. And also partial answers like class instead of collective action should NOT count “.

“Ten, Danger — Why not have a certain time to respond? Harriet answered her revised Ursula answer at least as quickly as Luigi was allowed to correct his Constant to Constable answer a few minutes earlier,” said a third.

A quarter called Guzmán’s victory at the end of the show an “unfair escape”.

“#Jeopardy why did Ken Jennings let one contestant (male) change an incorrect answer, but fail against another (female), even though he said the correct answer within the time limit? The episode tonight was an unfair escape because of this last-ditch double jeopardy decision.”

Another fan claimed the sentence was misogynistic.

“This was totally unfair and Ken Jennings (and the ‘judges’) were absolutely wrong not to give him credit for a correct answer. Is this the #misogyny of #Jeopardy? It sure looks like it!”

“Ken, you did great! Luigi was wrong! Harriet was right, just in time!” another scolded.

However, others were not staggered.

“So comforting and joyful to have @KenJennings behind the @Jeopardy host podium It’s the way the world should be,” one fan wrote.

A second praised the host. “Ken! You’re so good hosting Jeopardy! I’m glad I got to do it with Mayim, she’s so good too! Keep up the good work and thanks for keeping Jeopardy at the level it was with Alex!”
